SBC Global email or ATT email is one of the best web-mail providers there is. SBC stands of Southwestern Bell Company. It is a free web based email service provided to the customers of SBC and AT&T service. When you go to the SBC or AT&T login page, you are re-directed to Yahoo login section. That is because AT&T and Yahoo were merged in 2003. SBC, then purchased AT&T for $16 million in 2005 and adopted its name and brand. SBC global has access to and provides all services of Yahoo including Yahoo! mail, chat or messenger.
SBCGlobal Email Set up Procedures
Before we start off, this is the question I have came across while reading a forum –
“I got AT&T/Yahoo! DSL over the summer, but never got the chance to set up an sbcglobal.net e-mail account. I want one now. I don’t mean sub-account, this would be primary since it’s my first. The SBCglobal site doesn’t have tips on how to make a primary one, so does anyone know how I get the email? Thanks!”
I know many of you are having the same problem and wanting the solution for the same thing.
-
First of all, go to the web address “my.yahoo.com” and sign in to your account. You should see in the upper right corner a link button to MY ACCOUNT that will take you to your main AT&T account site. You will be asked to enter your login password once again. So go ahead and type it in.
-
Once you are in, select the edit personal info option. Type in your password again once the pop-up box appears.
-
On the right hand side, you will see the options for editing and creating new profile. Go ahead and select that option .
-
Now this is where you can configure and set any email you want as your default email account. So if you make an alternative account, you can set that account as your active default email account. In this case, you can make your SBCGLOBAL.NET email your default email.
Please contact SBC Global via phone number or e-mail so that they can check the status of your email address if either it is still active or inactive/suspended, review and provide any feedback if required.
They will find solutions for that. Go to help.sbcglobal.net and look for the contact number of SBC tech support.
